So, you know those people you meet in life and you instantly feel like inviting them over for dinner, or grabbing a beer and just hangin’? Kimberly and Rob are those people! They are so stinking great! Fun, relaxed and real! I LOVE that! I LOVE them! I met up with them for a day in the City for their engagement session … we started at the beach and then headed to Coit Tower … we even road the elevator to the top and had one of the most amazing views of the City as it was clearer than clear that day! It was so fun! We ended the day at At&t Park … one of these wonderful people is a Giants fan (which I will not hold against them They are getting married in Tahoe this year … and I’m so excited to be photographing their wedding! Tahoe is so wonderful and such a place of peace … it is going to be fabulous! Ms. Alison of Alison Ulshoffer Events is their coordinator and loves Tahoe too so you know it is going to be GREAT! So this is part one of their post … and part two to follow shortly!
 I’ve had the honor of getting to photograph this lovely family since R was expecting little Miss. Audra and it has been so great getting to see their family grow. I totally enjoyed sharing a cup of tea with Miss. Audra before our session officially started! She is just so lovely! R’s mom is from Scotland which is where my grandmother is from and I’ve always felt a bond to this family … so it was truly a pleasure and honor to snap these photos real quick in the extreem heat! I can’t wait to photograph the new baby! And to have a cup of tea and chat together. Love you guys.
Friday evening we met up in Tahoe for the rehearsal and it was lovely out … the evening was perfect. We were all excited for Saturday. The decision was made to get married on the dock … which I, personally, was giddy about … truth be told. I LOVE the water and I knew it would be dreamy. We were a bit worried about the glare on the water at the time of day that the wedding would be … but no worries … it is going to be the BEST! We all got a good nights rest and Saturday arrived. Everything was coming together at the house … the tables were looking fabulous … everyone was doing their part to make Kelleigh and Adams day perfect ……….Andrea and Lenny, with Alison Ulshoffer Events were the bomb … they worked their tails off making sure everything was perfect. Adam and Kelleigh chose to see each other before they said their vows and I have to tell you I wish that everyone did this … it’s a selfish reason for the Bride and Groom … see, when Adam turned around and saw Kelleigh … he could share his honest and true … right from the heart emotions and I have to tell you that I lost it … I started to cry … it was magical … it was the difference of sharing that moment for them with each other getting to hold each other and say the things that they were feeling right then as opposed to standing in front of a 100 or so friends and family and not getting to say those things and squeeze each other ….. I know they will remember that moment for the rest of their lives … I know that I will … it was magical to get to capture that for them and I will never forget Adam saying to me as they walked hand-in-hand to where we were going to take their formal photos … in the most excited and sincere voice … “Penny … did you know she looked like this … she is amazing” Honestly, I got all teary-eyed again. 
Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing Kenni and Jared in Lake Tahoe at the Hyatt, which is absolutly awesome! Kenni’s mom said nothing but wonderful things about the staff in planning the big day AND they were totally wonderful yesterday. The wind was crazy! Crazy! But Kenni and Jared were so fun and beautiful that we had a great time!

) And the other a Dodger fan (my personal favorite baseball team!) so it was fun to end the day at the park … next time it will have to be for a game!!
Every now and again you meet someone and you just connect. You know that you are going to love them and you feel that right back. I mentioned before that when I met Kelleigh I just knew that I would love her and sure enough … I do! Kelleigh and Adam are so wonderful and their families are in deed just as wonderful.
