I had the absolute honor of photographing Reece and his family recently and it is eyes welled with tears that I write this post. Reece’s fight with cancer ended recently. The afternoon that I got to visit his human family to capture the love they have for him and his zest for life is a day I shall never forget. I LOVE dogs! I mean I really do … the unconditional love that they give us is amazing and a love that I feel so fortunate to have experienced in my life. When we lost of Maxwell House to cancer I always wished that I had had someone photograph us together. We have our photos but none that capture our love together for him and I will always wish that I had that. So to me it really is an honor when people ask me to capture that for them. One of the things Reece’s family wanted to capture was his zest for life and honestly … my eyes although welled with tears … I have a huge smile on my face thinking of Reece jumping in his pool with such a zest that was uninhibited! He loved, and I mean LOVED his pool! Oh yes, and watermelon!!!

I got the text ” I know you are super busy, but is there any way you could come over, we are going to have to put Buster to sleep tomorrow and we wanted to capture he and Addison together” … tears filled my eyes … I text back … “I’ll be there at 9:30″.
