Amber and Kenny : San Francisco Engagement Session : Destination Hawaii wedding

When Amber called me to inquire about photography we hit it off right away. She and Kenny are getting married in Hawaii next Spring and they are so excited. We decided to meet up in San Francisco for their engagement session and do a little exploring. I had this mission … let’s find some artwork that I had seen in the latest Sunset Magazine … I MUST find it … It would be just perfect for our shoot … we did eventually find it! I was so excited … and I’m sure Kenny and Amber had fun amusing me being on such a quest! These two sweethearts have been together through high school and have a common bound that brings them together, which is something that is so important in marriage … I love these two and am so excited for them! Christine and Aldo { Engagement Session Part ll } State Fair Food Crawl

Who doesn’t LOVE a food crawl???!!!!
Christine and Aldo met up with me for another shoot at the State Fair to enjoy some Good Eats! I mean really, who could pass up a corn dog, soda, log of fries, sweet treats, and cotton candy all in a few hours!!! NOT ME!
We had a blast … and I forsee many more food crawls with these too!!!!

Destination Enagement Session | Napa Valley | Nicole and Gabe

I simply can not tell you enough how much I LOVE Nicole and Gabe. When they first came to the studio I loved them, we just hit it off. They were running the California Marathon and I was so jealous … I want to do that so bad! AND they just had an energy about them that I loved … I wanted them to book me … I wanted to be part of their happiness!

Turns out we have so much in common … it’s kinda crazy … I can honestly say that I love them … they are just real, honest and loving … three of my favorite things!

Now, for the engagement session. We decided on Napa, beautiful and lovely and relaxed … just like them. We had a bit of a rain scare … to say the least! Seriously, as we were driving there Nicole and I kept checking out iPhones for the weather … AND it even rained just over the pass to the valley … it was killing us! BUT we were not going to give up and it sure is good we didn’t! We had perfect weather (minus the freezing cold!!) and a great time.

We ended the evening with fabulous food and wine at Bistro Jeanty (a recommendation of Gabe’s brother) which was so yummy I can’t even begin to describe it to give it justice! When we first sat down I was a bit nervous … there were things on that menu that made the conversation silly … but honestly one of the BEST meals I’ve had in Napa!

The day ended with the drive back home and wonderful conversation … thank you Nicole and Gabe for being such wonderful clients … but more importantly, wonderful new found friends … I can not wait to capture your wedding day.

“YES” … wedding proposal!!

We all three started our session a little bit nervous and all three for separate reasons! I was totally nervous because I was keeping a secret and Leslie about to get photographed AND Jason, most likely among the three of us the most anxious as he was about to ask the love of his life to marry him!!!

Well, I can finally reveal what I was so excited about! My new friend Jason proposed to Leslie and I got to be a part of it today!

When I got the email from Jason I was so excited! Seriously, I got goosebumps and had to read it out loud to Jennifer while we were working in the studio and she too got goosebumps!!! I called Jason right away to let him know I was totally in! I left a message on his phone that went something like this “YES, YES, YES, count me in!! “… and giggled at the end I’m sure I was so giddy!!

I’m sooooo bad a hiding something when I’m excited about it … I’m so an open book … so it was totally good that they didn’t know me because I so would have given it away!!! I was so nervous! Jason’s plan was that we would “plan” playing it off like it was a normal session and then at the end we’d set it up so that it was natural that they would be alone and I’d be snapping away!

It was truly an honor to be able to do this for them! I’m so so so so excited for them! Congrats Jason and Leslie!!! Here are some of my favorites!!!!!

Marry Me

Can I just say, “I LOVE LOVE LOVE it when a couple incorporates their doggie!”? I do. I LOVE it. Our first doggie, Maxwell House, was our “baby” before we had kids. We took him everywhere and he was such a big part of our lives. So whenever a couple has a dog, I say, absolutely bring them!!! I’m totally cracking up looking at this image with Lola’s tongue sticking out … she’s totally sayin’ … bring it on this photo shoot is totally about me!!!
