an amazing wedding with amazing friends – part 1

Amazing is such a simple word that doesn’t even begin to describe the most wonderful experience I had photographing Cathy and Mikes wedding.  Cathy and I had a connection from the very first time we spoke on the phone … we met for coffee and a wonderful friendship started.

You may remember the engagement session photographs that we took in San Francisco … we had such a great time … I knew the wedding was going to be spectacular.  Cathy and Mike are beautiful both inside and out.

Cathy and Mikes wedding was my first Vietnamese and Chinese wedding.  And let me tell you … it was a day I will remember for the rest of my life.  Not only for the beauty of both tea ceremonies, the traditions and color, the to-die-for food at the reception, but most importantly for getting to be part of their wedding and that they trusted me to capture the emotion and the beauty of their love and day.  I truly felt like part of the family and am honored to call them friends.

Here are a few of my favorites … there will be a slide show coming of coarse!  Seriously we shoot so many images … it was a photographers dream with all the color and love.

Enjoy and know more to come….

a little magic …

Sometimes a little magic happens … I don’t know how else to explain it.  Yesterday while taking photos at the park little Miss. Talley really didn’t want to take photos … she just wanted to be held my mom … so sweet and tender … I just kept snapping away at her little brother and from time to time snaping some shots of Talley … here is one of my absolute favorites …

The best part of being 3 I think is that you can totally get away with just about anything!  Chloe and I had a blast jumping on the bed.  Chloe just became a big sister … so extra energy definitely abounded!

Megan and TJ

It’s unusal that I know almost everyone at the wedding I’m attending … sometimes I might bump into someone I know … but to be able to call out all family members by name during the formals … I have to tell you totally rocked!  I got to photograph my baby brothers wedding and it was quite fun!  To be a vendor and family … a strange twist that I sorta liked!  I got to tell both my brothers what to do and they couldn’t really sass me … now that is my kind of family event!!

Megan was absoltely stunning.  I LOVE LOVE the 1940′s and when I saw her hair and her dress … I thought she was stunning!  She even wore a broach from her grandmother … I LOVED it!!

TJ … handsome of coarse!  Stole my heart when he got choked up when Megan and her father came down the aisle.  I love it when the groom falls in love again right there … it’s magical I must say!

Here are some of the images from the beautiful day.
